This was my second trip to 'The Cap' with good mate Beggsy. We had just finished first year uni and thought a trek would be a nice way to finish the year off. We took 2 nights and headed into Lake Vera the first night, did a day trip up Frenchmans Cap in beautiful weather on day 2, then headed back out on day 3. These were the days of the notorious 'Sodden Loddons'! The track crossed these plains for kilometers of mud (these days a new track exists) Which made a trip into Frenchmans a real mission!
