A Look Inside the world

My name’s Matthew but my friends call me MowserI’ve lived in Tasmania, Australia my entire life. I love this magical place. I also love hiking and travel.

I created this site to share my love of, not only Tasmania and the hiking it has to offer, but also of the various adventures I’ve been on around the world with my wife and four kids. I’m also going to try to tell you a bit about the gear required to complete my adventures. If you can’t get to these places yourself then I hope this site provides you with some inspiration for what the world, and especially Tasmania has to offer – It really is an incredible place! Enjoy!

Rats Castle and Mowser’s Mishap – 3rd June 2017

Winter was here... and Woolza had put the call out for the first winter walk of the season. Rat's Castle was the objective. We headed up on Saturday morning with a plan to meet at the start of the walk at Brandum. We'd then stay at Woolza's family shack by Great Lake...

Mt Patrick – May 14, 2018

With all the roadworks on the Midlands Highway, I had been making my regular drive to Hobart a bit more scenic by driving south via Highland Lakes Road. On this midweek trip, I figured I had enough time to make a quick jaunt up Mt Patrick beside Arthur's Lake (and...
